In the field of international cooperation, the Canadian company Thronus Medical Inc, owned by Dr. Marianna Maciel and Kieren Halpin, forms the foundation of a connection between scientific research and its practical application. Dr. Marianna Maciel is a young and successful physician who, among other places, also studied at Charles University in Prague.
Our collaboration began in 2016 in Vancouver, where, after a joint meeting, the idea emerged that was soon realized – the use of a combination of hemp extract and liposomal nano formulations. This led to the creation of the product Bisaliv Power, a 60 ml tincture containing 1200 mg of CBD nano particles with a size of up to 20 nanometers.
In 2018, Thronus registered this product in Brazil under the law regulating the import of hemp extracts with the Brazilian agency ANVISA and offered cooperation to Brazilian doctors.
Thanks to the careful work of Dr. Marianna Maciel, the product Bisaliv Power has achieved success in the treatment of autism and childhood epilepsy. Interest in the liposomal form of hemp is growing, and Thronus Medical is responding quickly to new opportunities that are opening up for us. Alongside Bisaliv Power, a range of products is being developed that also include other cannabinoids such as CBG and THC. Full-spectrum formulations are also emerging, with precisely defined contents and dosages of the desired cannabinoids.
Currently, Brazilian physicians issue thousands of prescriptions every month for the Bisaliv product for many health indications where medical cannabis helps provide relief.
Our results and the effectiveness of our products have also been recognized by government officials in Brazil, and Thronus Medical provides supplies for patients who qualify for the government’s health assistance program.
